The Normandy
The Normandy cocktail features the flavors of fall!

Great for Fall!

Crisp apples, pears and dried apricots are balanced with butterscotch, nut and chocolate aromas. When selecting a Calvados (which is a type of French apple brandy) be aware that the less aged Calvados distinguishes itself with its fresh apple and pear aromas. The longer the Calvados is aged, the more the taste resembles that of any other aged brandy.

The Normandy:
  • 2 thin slices of a Granny Smith Apple
  • 1 teaspoon Dark Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Simple Syrup
  • 2 oz Premium Calvados (aged to taste)

HOW TO:

Muddle 6 cranberries, 1 apple slice, brown sugar and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker. (We used our new 10-in-1 Bartending Tool™ muddler/reamer, fruit knife and jigger!) Add the simple syrup, Calvados and a few ice cubes. Cover, shake well and then strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with the remaining apple slice and cranberries. Enjoy!
