Kerry's Sports Pub - North Las Vegas, NV
This week on Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer and his team are trying to save Kerry's Sports Pub in North Las Vegas, NV. When Bill Davis opened the bar, he sunk his life savings into it. His daughter Kim was hired as manager and his grandchildren, Justin and Lacey, were hired as bartenders. With slow service, over-pouring, and lack of management, the bar was soon losing nearly $5,000 a month. Without Jon's help, the bar would surely be closing it's doors for good.
Jon brought in expert mixologist Phil Wills to help. Using our PourCheck® the bartending staff was retrained on proper pouring techniques and he introduced new cocktails, Bourbon Boar, The Whole Swine Yards, Awesome Sauce, and Mary's Garden.
After a short closing, the bar reopened as Bacon Bar. The new concept is fresh in the Vegas bar scene that is riddled with sports bars and casinos. To tie the theme together, bacon-influenced Bloody Mary drinks and bacon treats from the kitchen were introduced. The place was completely refurbished with the bacon theme showing throughout.
Six weeks after reopening as Bacon Bar, sales had reportedly increased by 35%. The owner and his family are happy thanks to Jon and his Bar Rescue team.
