Absinthe Fountain - Globe Glass 2 Spout

Sold out
Absinthe fountains were extremely popular during the late 19th century and were usually featured in high end bars and clubs as they were quite expensive at the time. However, in today's bar scene they are becoming more and more popular and are thus available at a more accommodating price. The fountain features 2 plastic pour spouts to stream over 2 glasses at a time and stands 16.5" tall with approximately 8.25" of room below each spout. This particular absinthe fountain is made of clear Borosillicate glass and is mouth-blown.

It is very easy to use and clean. Remove the glass lid of the fountain to add fresh water and ice. Place the absinthe spoon and sugar atop the glasses and the glasses beneath the pour spouts. Turn the spigot slowly and let the cold water flow over the sugar until it has completely dissolved into the absinthe. This action releases oils and perfumes the air with fennel, grand wormwood and anise. The combination of the sugar water and absinthe begins to turn milky white in color, as the water mixes with the anise. Refresh water before each use.
